About the Committee

The Supreme Court has mandated that every woman has a right to a safe workplace. In compliance with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act-2013, our institution has constituted an Internal Complaints Committee to prevent, prohibit and redress cases of sexual harassment.

Objectives

  • Prohibition of any hierarchical oppression based on gender inequality.
  • Prevention of gender-biased attitudes in academic and workplace activities.
  • Protection of the fundamental rights of women.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • To help women realize their rights of freedom.
  • To treat sexual harassment as misconduct and take punitive action.
  • To assist the aggrieved woman to place the complaint safely.
  • To safeguard the victimized person from further harm.
  • To educate and train students about prevention of sexual harassment.
